Lisa Skelton, Southern Right Whales (ANIMAL 2025)
Southern Right Whales give birth to and nurture their young in shallow coastal waters. While protected from natural predators, historically this made them easy targets for commercial whaling. When viewing these animals along the West Australian coast, it is apparent just how vulnerable the species was to exploitation.
