Andrew Hutchings, Squamates (ANIMAL 2023)

Squamata are the largest order of reptiles, comprised of snakes and lizards. My intent with these portraits was to capture dynamic images looking eye to eye with some less understood creatures. While the three animals included here fall under the conservation status of least concern, their presence in our backyards have diminished. It is important our protection of the environment is extended to all flora and fauna, large and small, venomous and non venomous.
