Viktoria Wilde, Stinking Rose (SINGLE SHOT 2025)
The dried outer leaves of the garlic root fold back to reveal the papery husk. Reminiscent of a rose emerging from its bud, the aroma of the two varying differently. This photograph captures a layered inner core of the stinking rose. As an item idle on my kitchen bench, this bulb reveals a centre of beauty, protection and regeneration. A palette of natural, muted tones that are as transparent as the sounds are dry.
