Brian Pool, Stormy Above, Serene Below (ANIMAL 2024)

On a stormy day, and in the dull but dramatic light underwater, the marine life was so mesmerising. These photos try to capture the mood of the day, and the beauty and elegance of the animals that graced us with their company. The Manta Project kindly identified the manta ray from their database - its name is "Storm" (#335) - very appropriate.
