Sonia Friedrich, Summer Haze (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

Red Hot Lazy Days. Summer brings the tourist influx to Byron Bay. Post COVID there seemed to be even more tourists. Beachgoers were soaking up their moment in the sun. The colours of summer stood out sprinkled across the sand. Then the yellow surfboard caught my attention, followed by a burst of red shorts which became the spotlight and nicely grounded the colours of the lifeguards. I had seconds to capture this image before he was out of shot. I don't mind the image being blown out because this has accentuated the heat, the haze and daze of summer.
