Louise Faulkner, Suspended I (PORTRAIT 2021)
With an aged, semi-functional GoPro in hand, I’ve spent Summer days at the beach and ocean baths exploring an underwater world of elegant legs, suspended seaweed and people at play. I’ve fallen in love with the graininess of the resulting portraits, their vintage feel evoking memories of my own childhood holidays spent salt-waterlogged and happy. The challenge of capturing oceanic portraits with this tiny camera is my new obsession and delight.
