Joel Leske, Swirling sand (LANDSCAPE 2023)
These three images show the impact of rough seas on the sand below. In the first image, a wave starts to grow as it moves towards the shore, pulling clouds of sand towards it. The second image shows the wave as it passes through the frame. Sand is being stirred up behind the wave and creates an almost water-colour effect. The final image in this series shows the process starting again. Huge plumes of sand are swirling throughout the water as it is being pulled out and the array of colours and textures is astounding. You can get lost in these images and forget you are looking at our oceans. They show our oceans really are art.
