Nilmini De Silva, Tenuous (SINGLE SHOT 2021)

The dew drops on the chain link fence was the first thing I saw when I woke up early morning in the Autumn of 2018 at our camp site in Kilcoy. The juxtaposition of the harsh barbed wire fence against the softness of the gently water droplets was a beautiful sight in the early morning light. The warm tones remind me of the drought and bushfires that Australia has experienced, with the water representing the floods that almost always follow. I ran outside armed with my macro lens to capture this wondrous scene that would soon disappear with the heat of the day.
