Chris Hillary, The 8 ft midgets of Iquique (Sport)

In Chile's farthest northern district, on the pacific coast, lies the South American Hawaii. For one week, I paroled the rocky outcrops at dusk, stalking the local surfers and bodyboarders as they scrapped for a decent four, six or occasional eight footer. In winter, waves this unremarkable are ignored for 19 foot monsters.
