Christian Jansen, The Agave and the Palm (BLACK & WHITE 2024)

The agave and the palm tree are my two favourite plants. Their repeating textures, depth of foliage and structure make them fascinating subjects for B&W film photography. I believe these three images complement each other, the dense contrast of the agave surrounds the even graduation of clouds silhouetting the solitary palm tree. These were taken on ORWO Wolfen UN54 100 at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.
