Tim Henry, The Competent Fisher (ANIMAL 2021)

The azure kingfisher has been my main subject for the last 4 months, I believe I tried everything I could in my power to bring these images to life. Whether it has been crawling on the bank of the river in mud, sitting in the cold water, in the rain all whilst being bitten by something but never once questioned what am I doing I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope anyone who sees these images does too. Images include two portraits of the Azure kingfisher trying to fish and the third image is of two kingfishers courting in Spring of 2020.
