The Good Room celebrates the beauty in my mother’s seventies home, while illuminating the transcendent ingenuity of lovingly curated objects. The systemic expectation that women forge their identity as homemaker often meant the all consuming focus of their untapped brilliance, along with dependence on various vices that possibly eased a longing for more.
