Caroline Holdstock, The Lighthouse (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

The Souter Lighthouse is near Sunderland in the North East Coast of England. The lighthouse was opened in 1871 and was the first In the world to use electricity to power the lamp. Since being decommissioned in 1988 it is now owned by the National trust, and we were fortunate to stay in one of the workmen's cottages on site. The image was taken close to sunset, actually capturing the reverse sunset.
