Jodie Mannix, The Story of Cyclone Jasper (DOCO 2024)

Two shots of our beautiful boy Jed Dog snapped during cyclone Jasper in December 2023, we had gone for a drive during a break to check on a few properties we look after, in the 6 day downpour of rain, which caused devasting effects to our region in Far North Queensland. We took our two dogs everywhere with us, so that we knew they were safe, they both knew something was going on and Jed was just gazing out the window, soaking wet, as we all were for that 6 days, wondering if he would ever be able to go out and run around as they normally do, he had a sadness in his eyes that still gets me everytime. The last shot is of our beach, which is normally beautiful white sand and palm trees, but after Tropical Cyclone Jasper our beach was covered in debris and washed up trees.
