Kathy Chapman, The Time Thief (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

This image was originally created to be part of my 'Magical Thinking' series, which was a whimsical series exploring the way young children believe they can imagine things into being. I planned to create an image about time-travel but as I set up and created this composite image, I found myself wanting to tell a different story, set apart from the magical thinking series. It became a story about a 'time thief'. I was thinking about the way in which we allow worries, fears and sometimes even other people, to rob us of our most precious possession - time.
