Pollyannar Gibson, The Transplant BIG Picture (Documentary/Photojournalism)

From April to August 2015 I documented 115 Victorian transplant stories creating a 41 meter photograph titled The Transplant BIG Picture which was exhibited in City Square Melbourne for Donatelife week. It is now one of the longest photographs in the world and created to raise awareness about what it means to be a registered organ donor. Image 1 is 5 people out of the 115 and Images 2 - 6 are the documentary stories behind the profiles exploring life on the waiting list, life and death after transplant and donor family's who made the decision to donate their loved ones organs often in unexpected and tragic accidents.
