‘There are always flowers for those who look for them’ was written in chalk on a wall that I walked past on my way home one day and in a Depression. I stopped to contemplate this, and then continued the walk more vigilant and ready to see flowers. I found many, but not always in places of beauty or as a celebration of beauty or happiness. Also why I’ve chosen to represent them in black and white.
