Narelle Hughes, Tree Cemetery (LANDSCAPE 2024)
In the late 1950’s the flooding of the Eucumbene Valley, due to the Snowy Hydro Scheme and the building of 16 dams, Eucumbene Dam being the largest, resulted in Lake Eucumbene being created. The town of Adaminaby was relocated and many of the trees died due to the flooding but these dead trees make spectacular topography with the approaching storm and setting sun on the orange sand.
