Julia Howe, Tree in the wind and under lights (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

I took this photograph one windy and cloudy night after Christmas in rural Victoria. I was surprised when shooting to notice the aurora's glow across the sky. This shot really captures a harsh environment, a tree's skeleton and a a field of grass's churning movement in the wind's blow. The green glow of the Southern Lights then add to the magic of the scene making it appear both dramatic and peaceful at once. A juxtaposition of drama and beauty.
