Zach Gardner, Under the Wergaia Sky (LANDSCAPE 2024)

Made the trek out to Lake Tyrrell in the Mallee in late afternoon a few months back, under the baking sun, and walked around the salt flats until the sun had set. With the fading sun the flats started glowing, a perfectly silent dusk, under a sky unlike anywhere else on earth. An ancient land, and one of the most surreally beautiful places I’ve ever had the honour to visit, so glad I made the trip.
