Brad Leue, Untamed Australia (Documentary/Photojournalism)
Australia is a land of extraordinary natural beauty— with some of the most diverse environments found in the world. The land supports eco systems of rainforest, desert, bushland, wetland, forest and is surrounded by some of the most lively and aggressive oceans on the planet. With landscapes so vast and untamed we are faced with a life of extremes, managing to work with and around the dramatic changes in environment. Over thousands of years the wildlife that inhabit these extreme conditions have also had to adapt to whatever the land has to offer. Be it the tropical storms of the north, to the raging seas of the south coast, Australian wildlife has stood strong to face it all. This selection of photographs captures that diversity and showcases the character traits that have been shaped by evolution, to live on a land like no other.
