Gwyn Morgan, West World (Doco/Photojournalism (2019))
During a trip to Japan I explored an abandoned theme park that's been deserted for over a decade. Known as the Western Village and created in 1975 it was centred around the 1800's wild west of America. Cowboys and animatronics filled halls along with human sized teddy bears. Nothing was packed away or cleaned. Plates and food items where left in their place making for an eerie almost post apocalyptic world. Discovering each empty room and seeing what was once the pride of the town left me with a truly strange feeling and one I will not forget.
