Sharon Jones, White Terns (ANIMAL 2022)

White terns on Lord Howe Island. White terns do not build a nest, instead they lay an egg directly on a tree branch, where the chick hatches and grows, often exposed to strong winds and rain, both of which I saw this chick experience during our visit to the island.
