Alex Wilson, Wild West Coast (SINGLE SHOT 2021)

I discovered this location during our campervan travels through the South Island last month. The West Coast was on full show the morning after a rainstorm, with heavy mist, strong currents and waterfalls galore. We just happened to be staying at Gentle Annie campground - with the location of this image being only a short distance away. After navigating our way through a literal maze, we found visibility near the coast to be awful. Happily, a small break in the mist combined with sunshine peaking over the mountains next to us allowed me to capture this shot. This image was captured on a Sony A7iii with the Tamron 17-28mm F2.8. The camera was set to F11, iso 100 and a shutterspeed of two seconds.
