John Dalton, Witnessing the Legends (PORTRAIT 2024)

When the Legends of Australian Rugby League visited a local Indigenous Community, locals both young and old turn out in great numbers to get the chance to get up close to their heroes and watch them display their skills on the field. For a boy who waits patiently for one of the legends to sign his football, it is worth the wait. Men and women respond to the presence of a hero. This series captures the joy and quiet awe of the people on the sidelines.
