Carole Mills Noronha, Wonder (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

Portrait of my 89 year old father. Dad has Dementia and Alzheimer's. He spent most of 2020 and 2021 in lockdown in Aged Care, Melbourne. This room becoming his whole world. Except for where his mind wandered. After months of window visits, I'm once again permitted to visit dad in his room. As I'm not able to take dad out, I instead bring some outside to dad. A newly emerged butterfly from my classroom. A moment of joy and wonder. Dad later releasing the butterfly in a nearby courtyard.
