Daniel Linnet's ability to interpret a brief and add that certain creative flair to any assignment has seen him produce images for MasterCard, Pfizer, Castrol, Country Energy, BankWest, Top Gear and Men’s Health magazines, to name a few.
Linnet began painting landscapes and people as a hobby, but upon picking up a camera for reference shots, fell in love with the immediacy of the medium. “I still use my painting skills in post production while grading my images which ensures that the end result is always my vision,” he says. “I enjoy the whole creative process, from the inception of concept, actual image capture through to the final treatment in post.”
Linnet has extensive experience in fashion, lifestyle, automotive, portraiture, and fine art photography. He has also had feature articles on his work and style appear in: Australian Photo Review, Better Photography, Mac World, Australian CREATIVE, Better Photoshop Techniques, and Capture magazine.
“Photography for me has always been a lot more than a hobby or a job," says Linnet. “It’s a lifestyle – one that I live every day. I love seeing the world through photographer's eyes. I’m constantly studying light and the way it affects the world around me.”
Daniel Linnet is an AIPP Master and past NSW Chairman of the Society of Advertising, Commercial and Media Photographers, where he held the position for three years. He is also the director and principal tutor of Sydney Photographic Workshops.
Daniel Linnet is one of the four keynote presenters at Capture magazine's Foto L!VE: Shoot for success.
