Renowned German architectural photographer, Roland Halbe has recently come on board to help judge the region's preeminent competition for aspiring, emerging, and early-career photographers, Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers, now in its 12th year.
Roland Halbe studied photography at Istituto Europeo di Design, Cagliari, in Italy. He has been working as a freelance architectural photographer since 1988. In 1995, he co-founded Artur Images – Europe’s biggest picture library for architecture photography.
Roland Halbe works mainly for international architects studios. His work is published internationally in architecture and design magazines and books. Halbe's photographs were displayed in the exhibition, On-Site: New Architecture in Spain 2006, at MoMA in New York. He has been official photographer of TCA Louvre, Abu Dhabi (since 2017) and of Qsar al Hosn Cultural Center, Abu Dhabi (since 2018).
