Rachel Mounsey is an Australian photojournalist and member of the Oculi collective. Her work focuses on capturing social and environmental stories of life in regional and remote Australia.
Her images have been selected for photography awards, including finalist in the HeadOn Portrait Prize, semi-finalist in the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize as well as being nominated for a place in the prestigious Joop Swart Masterclass for her work covering the black summer fires in her home town of Mallacoota.
She began her press career working as a journalist on regional papers in Fairfax Media and Australian Community Media. She now works freelance and regularly contributes to national and international mastheads and publications. .
