Chris Budgeon is a Canadian born, Australian based photographer who continues to practice across a wide-ranging photographic discipline that continually seeks to present visual imagery as a unique voice of figurative language.
He has served as a Lecturer and Adjunct Professor at RMIT in Melbourne, and been involved in countless projects and campaigns that have led to multiple inclusions in awards, exhibitions, and annuals like the Moran Photographic Award, Olive Cotton Award, HeadOn, Martin Kantor Award, Ulrich and Schubert Award, Iris Award, Percival Award, Bowness Award, Graphis Photographic Annual, Communication Arts Annual, D&AD, and AWARD.
Highlights include being selected nine times into Lürzer's Archive Top 200 Advertising Photographers Worldwide, including the 2021/22 cover image, and being a National Portrait Prize Finalist six times. Budgeon’s images are held in private collections worldwide, as well as the permanent collections of the National Portrait Gallery Canberra, National Library Canberra, Gold Coast City Art Gallery, and the Tweed River Art Gallery.
