Steve Greenaway is a photographer and director based in Sydney, Australia, working throughout Australia and Asia. His lighting and talent direction abilities produce a consistent marriage between stimulating visuals and narrative. He often plays with colour and negative shapes to create compositions that are unpredictable and charged with a healthy dose of his trademark wit.
Greenaway moved to Australia from the UK in 2001 after finishing his photography degree and cutting his teeth with some of the UK’s top commercial photographers. He regularly travels to find stories that challenge and inspire him. A particular highlight for Greenaway was an assignment to Uganda on behalf of the UK based charity, Child’s i Foundation where he followed social workers helping abandoned children. His work is often showcased in Australia’s industry journals and awards. He has also exhibited in galleries in Sydney and Melbourne, and been a finalist in various photographic competitions.
