EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO A CONFLICTING BOOKING.

Discover how to master the art of camera movement, blocking, lensing, and sequencing in this exclusive event with one of the industry’s most respected and forward-thinking filmmakers, Vince Lafort. Following the success of his 2014 USA tour, which saw him present to 3,500 people across 32 cities, RØDE Microphones & Atomos are pleased to be bringing Vincent Laforet to Australia for this exciting lecture and workshop series, held over a compact two-day format that will help you see an entirely new dimension to cinematic motion.

DAY 1 - LECTURE

The first day of the seminar will be lecture based, unlocking the theory behind camera motion. Vincent will focus on how to move the camera, when to move it, and most importantly, why. He will share his real world commercial film experience with top tier clients like Nike, General Electric and Apple. He will reveal not only how he has won these jobs, but also how he managed and directed them through to successful completion. If you're interested in understanding how to target the best clients in your own market, this section is for you.

Vincent will also share his favourite scenes from feature films and analyse them to show you exactly why each director chose particular moves and the motivation behind them.

DAY 2 - WORKSHOP

The second day is an entirely new component for Directing Motion and will involve putting the theory of Day One into practice, on an actual set with cinema gear and talent. You're invited for an intimate look behind the scenes with Vincent to see how he plans, directs, shoots and produces a complete video profile of a local artist, from start to finish.

Vincent will share how he plans, directs and manages such productions, as you work in a small team to create a cinematic short that incorporates compelling camera motion.
