World Press Photo

The World Press Photo Foundation brings its highly-anticipated global exhibition back to Australia.

Hosted at the State Library of New South Wales from tomorrow until Sunday, July 7, 2024 - exhibition attendees will be granted a first-look at the photographs that won the 67th annual World Press Photo Contest.

Widely considered the highest honour for photojournalism, the 2024 World Press Photo was won by Mohammed Salem, a Palestinian Reuters photographer, for his image A Palestinian Woman Embraces the Body of Her Niece.

Two Australians are also among this year’s winners in the Southeast Asia and Oceania region: Eddie Jim (Singles category) and Aletheia Casey (Open Format category).

World Press Photo runs at the State Library of New South Wales until Sunday, July 7, 2024.

The exhibition is free to attend.
